i am pretty sure its 1981 or 1982.. anyway, in his last talk he said that there was a terrible situation in cleveland ohio the previous year (1980).
Supposed it happend, these 200 were just walking on the top of the skyscraper and few seconds before it was announced they are DF, an astroid did struck them out of the sky... Do you thing it is good for them or bad for them???

Absolutely no problem, because he was just doing return visits on the Sex shop owner.

according statistics, there should be in every congregation about 4 gays.. my experience is, that some decided to live a "normal" life and get married and you hardly noticed them.. but there are some types, who, from how they speak and behave, are absolutely obvious gays.

In my KH we had two brothers like that ... Both single all their life, both wonderful people, both were elders, the younger one (35) was a nice guy, on the begining was chased after by single sisters, but later on they gave up...
I was wondering how they felt, when sometimes, during talks and in WT comments somebody spoke about gays that they are disgusting and the typical stuff... Felt sorry for them... They must have felt very lonely ...

he is an elder, and he and his wife were "accepted" to go to south africa.
including airfare, hotel, food, general tours, it comes to $9,000.. have any of you experienced this or seen this before?
i was out of the country for some years, so i haven't kept up with prices of being a delegate.. so, if they were to go without the "international delegate" designation, would it still be $9000?.
In my country we had International conventions, I had the "privilege" to asist with organization time ago. My experience:
US delegates had everything organized by WCS company (World Convention Services) - its a US non JW company. In countries where they travel to, they hire local (non JW) guides and asistants. One of them told me, everything must be on a very high level, because the delegates from US expect it, and if it is just on an average level, delegates would sent many complaints to the Headquarters.
US delegates stay in really fancy hotels (Hilton and so...) From what I saw, I can imagine tre trip must be very very expensive, although I dont know (and dont care) how much. I just now it could cost one half of the sum and still be a very good trip. (Staying in private homes of local brothers - absolutely unthinkable..)
Staying in private homes is possible only if delegates from "poor countries" travel to "wealthy" countries.
If you want to go to an assembly in some other place, can't you just go? JW daughter: It is strongly discouraged to travel to an International assembly "on your own". It is technically possible, but by doing, you show lack of appreciation for Jehovah´s arrangement.

you know what i mean: every time she reads a passage in the nt, she instantly applies it to the 144,000 chosen anointed ones.
even though there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to make that connection.
i have even asked how her gurus have made that connection biblically.

In 1935 we had over 50.000, they all are dead today... still 10.000 partaking today (the number has been increasing ... so more yet to be anounted, right?) ... so there were only some 80.000 christians in the first century from Jerosalem to Rome (they all werte anointed, right?) ? Historians write about many hundreds of thousands christians by the end of the first century ... maybe even a million christians ...
So what does you friend thinks abou the numbers??

We have to admitt, that throught the years it often happens, that some unexperienced and weak posters do lurk around to visit other sites on the internet. In several cases such unexperienced posters later do suffer from such unwise actions severe problems. Martin (some names in this article have been changed) admits: "I wanted just to lurk around the internet, I had some doubts if this site is really the best, and now I feel guilty towards the Simon the allmighty and also towards faithfull and discreet administrators of JWN site. I hope, if I will be faithfully posting back on JWN only, as it is the only true JW forum, at leats 10 posts a day, Simon the allmighty will forgive and will not delete my avatar."

However, it is sad, that some posters after lurking in the internet had been dragged away from this beatiful site to the wide internet and are not posting with us anymore. By not posting anymore with their former fellow posters, they clearly show, where their heart is. Some of them, being puffed up with pride, could even try to post a message to you. But would that it be wise of you to stay in touch with such proud former posters? Only by ignoring their messages, we can show true love and care to our former fellow posters. Our hearts are rejoicing to see many of the former posters, who due to different reasons, stoped posting with us, to come back to the only true JW forum on the internet!
